Can it be that I’m not meant to play this part?
Now I see that if I were truly to be myself I would break my family’s heart."
BIRTHDAY| May 17,
AGE| eighteen
GENDER| female
OCCUPATION| Mafia Princess
SEXUALORIENTATION| Bisexual
AFFLIATION| Italian Mafia
[/ul]
APPEARANCE|Being of Italian descent, Carina's skin is a golden brown matching her dark hair which cascades down her back in soft waves perfectly. Her eyes are two completely different colors, the left being dark brown with gold flakes, and the right being green with brown flakes. As she grew older, the colors of her eyes became more similar, but it is still very obvious that they are different. Her frame is that of a normal eighteen year old girl. She has very tiny, fragile bones, causing her to be thin; her skin is thin as well, almost making her golden tan appear transparent. Every curve in her body is proportionate to the next, however, bones can be seen sticking out in these curves, making her appear unhealthy.
Growing up in the mafia, Carina’s family never struggled for money, so most of her clothes are designer names, including the clothes she lounges around in. Most of the time, you can catch her in form fitting jeans and a very nice top, with matching jewelry. She was never one to dress down in public, but recently she has begun wearing less conspicuous clothes. When lounging around the hotel she lives in, you can find her in sweat pants and t-shirts, but even those come with some sort of high end design. The colors that she wears normally revolves her mood for the day.
OVERALLPERSONALITY| Most people who grow up getting everything they want grow up to be a snob. Carina is no exception – she has a slightly pretentious attitude toward the world, but overall she has a very soft heart. She is kind to random strangers, and she’s never a bitch until you give her a reason to be. Her voice is soft and airy which gives most people the impression that she’s going to be quite dumb, but she’s far from that. Her intelligence level is very high, and when it comes to book smarts, she’s got the highest marks in her class. Though she looks it sometimes, Carina is not a very bubbly person at all; most of the time she is usually dark and gloomy. She usually talks about death and despair, which is quite heartbreaking, but she always talks about it from various points of view. Carina had to grow up quickly, and sometimes it wears her down. Don’t classify her as a depressed teenager though. She’s a huge partier and knows how to have fun.
Most people would assume that Carina would be a badass fighter who knows her way around a gun. But this is all just a misconception. When it comes to fighting, the only thing Carina can do is trash talk.

SIBLINGS| nope.
OTHER| The entire Italian Mafia (:
OVERALLHISTORY| When most baby girls are born, the parents always talk about how she’s a little princess, and how she’s destined for great things, but most parents are literal about those statements. Carina DeLuca’s parents, however, were very literal. When she was born into the very wealthy family, they were very surprised she was a girl, but they simply blinked twice and kept going. Carina was the first female to actually be born into the DeLuca family, and with the DeLuca’s being in charge of the entire Italian Mafia, it was a pretty big deal for men to run the mafia. But, when the princess was born, everyone eventually accepted it and continued on with life. Her parents raised her as a normal child for the first few years of her life; the only thing that wasn’t normal about it was her best friend Bianca Renaldo. For the longest time, it was her father who was assigned to her side, protecting her and acting as a personal bodyguard while training Bianca to do the same.
As Carina grew older, she was shielded more and more from the workings of the mafia by her father. He knew that one day she would have to take over for him, but he knew he had a lot of years to train her, and he was confident that she wouldn’t need to know too much. After all, it was really the assistants who did the dirty work; the only thing she would have to do is delegate work and learn to look intimidating. However, once her personality started shining through, her mother instantly wanted her to have nothing to do with the mafia. Carina was a gloomy girl with a very sweet disposition. But Mr. DeLuca knew that everything needed to stay in the family name, so he tried his best to teach her the ways of the world, and Mrs. DeLuca tried hard to teach her how to be kind to each and every person.
Carina was raised with many different people in the mafia – three other kids to be exact, and these kids became like her brothers and sister. She grew up learning to love them and everything they did for her. Now, her mother had taught her never to let anything go to her head, and if Carina wanted anything extra, her mother made her work for it. But, when Carina was 13, her mother was doing a routine drug smuggle and was killed in enemy crossfire. Her entire world was basically stolen from her, and it crushed her spirit. Her gloomy personality took a turn for the worse, and she nearly fell into a deep, dark depression. Had it not been for her best friend and her mafia family all stepping up to take care of the girl and her father, Carina surely would have lost it.
In honor of her mother’s memory, Mr. DeLuca stopped teaching his daughter about the things she was going to have to do one day. He didn’t go out of his way to hide things from her, but he did make a new mafia rule : No one was to tell Carina about the jobs they did and the people they killed. So the teenager simply grew up ignorant. Though, through the various people trying to kidnap or kill her, she knew that she was somehow important. Bianca honored the leader’s rule, but she did teach Carina to fight for herself, and that was perfectly fine with Carina. She knew that defense skills would come in handy. When the girls turned 16, Bianca officially became Carina’s bodyguard, meaning the girls were together even more.
It wasn’t until recently that the core group of the mafia moved to San Diego, and though they were still new to the area, Carina absolutely fell in love with it. Living in the hotel, gambling at the casino, getting rowdy and drunk with Bianca was pretty much Carina’s life dream. It’s also the first year that Carina is allowed to go to public school. It’s her senior year in high school, and she is attending the local one in town. Her life was pretty much bliss until she moved here, and now she’s learning to think for herself and question everything the mafia stands for. But she would never, ever, admit to having doubts. After all, asking questions can easily be a man’s death sentence.

Kalexius sat in complete silence with her two body guards. She had a piece of her hair placed in her mouth, chewing away at it nervously when one of them leaned over and said ”You realize you’re killing her hair, right? Calm down. I’m sure someone will come.” Kalexius looked up at the big man, the only one of the body guards that had bothered to make conversation with her this whole time she was gone, and smiled. ”Thanks. I hope so.” The man chuckled and ruffled her hair slightly, as an older brother would do to a younger sister.
It seemed like she was sitting there for hours, but truthfully it was only minutes. Her eyes were staring down to her lap, trying to avoid what was coming, whether they would show up, or no one would show up. ”What the fuck, Kalexius?” Her breath stopped short. The bodyguard to her left threw his arm across her chest to stop her from getting up. Apparently, they didn’t like Arthur’s choice words. But Kalexius couldn’t care less; that was just him. And she would say the same thing if he came back from the dead. Her emerald green eyes shot up and stared at his blazing red ones. She could feel the coolness radiating off of his skin already, her body just aching to be near him. Tears filled those eyes that glanced him over, and just as she moved the guy’s arm away from her to stand up, she saw Theo.
Both of them. They both came.
And all of a sudden, it was all too much. She should have just went home; she should have asked her father to pick her up and take her back to Seattle, and she could have visited Forks the next day. But, no. Her father had already told her the risk of them meeting so early. While the situation was under control, and while it was safe enough for her to return to Forks, it wasn’t safe for them to meet just yet. He needed to keep her family’s eye on him, not her. And that was why she had contacted the only two people in Forks who could protect her. But she hadn’t thought about what would happen if they both showed up like this. As Theo approached her, she felt her body tense in anticipation. Would he be mad? Would either of them be mad? It wasn’t her fault; she had begged to stay here. She knew Arthur would never let anyone near her if she had asked him to. Hell, Arthur would have killed them had she snapped her fingers and wished for it. That much, she knew. But she didn’t know how the reactions would be….
So when Theo touched his scolding hot hand to her cool face, she immediately felt the warmth spread through her body and instantly felt better. Seeing the tear fall from his eye made hers spill over. It was all just too much for the girl, but she loved it. Selfishly, she loved it. This proved they hadn’t forgotten her; they had missed her. The body guard lowered his arm, nodded at her and sighed. They could tell their job was over for now. ”Will you be safe, Mrs. Freedmon?” one of them said. Kalexius looked at him, smiled, looked back to Theo and Arthur and started sobbing silently. ”I’ll be perfectly okay,” she whispered. As the two man stood and walked away, to go call her father no doubt, she stood as well, and stared up at Theo. She simply raised her hand to his face and returned the intimate touch.
But she couldn’t stand there for long.
The love between her and Theo was different than that between her and Arthur. But both loves were strong as hell, and could last through anything. That much, she knew. A look of apology crossed her face and she sighed. ”I’ll explain everything later, Theo. Give me one minute, please.” She slid her body past him, feeling slightly guilty for not greeting him more properly, but in all fairness, Arthur was there first.
Kalexius didn’t even stop; she didn’t pause to measure his reaction; she didn’t glance at his face to read him emotions; she simply ran to him, slamming her body against his, wrapping her arms around his midsection and squeezing with all of her might. Sure, it was like hugging a brick wall, but it was her brick wall. ”I swear I’ll explain everything later, and I’m so sorry; I’m so so sorry, Arthur.”
All too soon, she pulled away from him, and turned back to Theo. Really, there wasn’t enough time in the world to split between the two. ”Theo….” Her breathy voice released his name again from her lips, and she wrapped her arms around his neck, nearly jumping just to reach them. Having both of them there was perfect. Kinda like having an icy-hot patch everywhere you went.
”Look. I can’t talk here; I shouldn’t really stay here too long. Can we just go somewhere? Preferably somewhere with food. Lots of food.” A laugh escaped her lips as tears kept falling down her face, but she ignored them. She simply waited for the two to react. Then again, everything was happening so fast she barely had time to react herself. But she knew one thing: they were here with her; she was actually safe again, and she couldn’t be happier.
